At the recent Massachusetts Professionals in Behavior Analysis (BABAT) , held October 16-18 in Worcester, Mass., Endicott faculty and students were honored for their outstanding contributions to the field of applied behavior analysis.

Dean of the Institute for Applied Behavioral Science, Mary Jane Weiss, received the prestigious Beth Sulzer-Azaroff Award for Distinguished Teaching, which recognizes faculty who have shown exceptional commitment to educating the next generation of behavior analysts. This award celebrates educators who—through mentorship and innovative teaching and curriculum design—guide and inspire students to pursue meaningful careers in behavior analysis and apply their knowledge to real-world issues.

Recent doctoral graduate, Jacqueline Weber D’23, was awarded the BABAT Student Paper Award, which honors a current student’s or recent graduate’s high-quality research project in behavior analysis. Weber is also an adjunct faculty member at the Institute for Applied Behavioral Science.

Additionally, doctoral candidate, Lori Mastrogiacomo D’26, received the B.F. Skinner Foundation Student Research Award, which is granted to basic and applied research proposals that are student-driven research projects, thesis, or dissertations approved by the student’s department of study where an observable dependent measure and an environmentally based independent variable will be applied.

In addition to the awards, several students and faculty members from Endicott’s Institute for Applied Behavioral Science presented at the conference.
