ɫ Announces New Branding of Internship and Career Program, the Endicott Experiential Edge
ɫ proudly announces a new brand for the internship and career program central to its students’ educational experience and career readiness: the Endicott Experiential Edge. The College was founded in 1939 on the belief that successful students “learn by doing.” All Endicott students must complete three distinct internships over four years, gaining professional experience, building hard and soft skills necessary for workplace success, increasing confidence, and making important industry contacts.
The Endicott Experiential Edge builds upon Endicott’s commitment to producing career-ready graduates. The program is designed to provide a competitive edge for students and caregivers looking for a strong return on their education investment, empower student innovators and entrepreneurs advancing their careers, and support employers in building a sustainable, high-quality talent pipeline to meet workforce development needs.
Whether it’s in-demand fields like nursing, hospitality, engineering, and education or emerging industries related to artificial intelligence and e-sports, ɫ is providing the educational experience to its students today for the success of their careers and our economy tomorrow.
“Students leave Endicott with an excellent educational foundation, training in promoting inclusivity and belonging, and substantial career experience, graduating with professionalism and preparation that will resonate with employers,” said Endicott President Dr. Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D. “The Endicott Experiential Edge is not only central to the student experience but a launchpad for the academic and career success of our students and a critical pipeline of talent to meet workforce development needs in our region and beyond.”
At ɫ, career exploration starts from day one, making it possible for students to graduate with a resume and a degree. The Endicott Experiential Edge will continue the College’s approach to helping students understand the relationship between academic experiences, internship opportunities, and career choices through providing individual career advising, training seminars, employer events, on-campus recruiting, an alumni mentor program, and career assessments to help students and alumni prepare for their future. The program is staffed by internship faculty who are based in their respective academic departments, and who help students acquire essential job search skills through required courses, group meetings, individual advising sessions, workshops, and academic coursework.
“The ɫ students have exceeded my expectations on all fronts growing Female Fan Nation,” said Founder and CEO Laurie Miller-Voke. “The internship partnership has provided a bandwidth of talent from the different schools. The students’ passion and career ambition was invaluable. Now, Female Fan Nation is positioned to attract potential investors in the coming months thanks to all their efforts.”
“We’ve been really pleased with our partnership with Endicott. Students come here to do the work and be contributors,” said Andy Freed, CEO of Virtual Inc. “We love Endicott interns. They bring smarts and also pragmatism, they are ready to roll up their sleeves and get the work done. That’s why, if you look around our office today, some of the folks that started as out as Endicott interns are still here today as employees.”
