Five Reasons to Consider Endicott

Read Time: min

We know there is a lot to consider when applying to college. You are asking yourself, where will you be equally welcomed, challenged, and inspired, while you prepare for your future?  We invite you to visit our campus, experience its community for yourself and enjoy its ocean views. As you walk across campus and through our buildings, you will understand why so many students feel at home at ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É.

While there are countless reasons to consider Endicott, our top five favorites are below:

Community: Endicott’s students enjoy a close-knit community, with a myriad of on-campus events, activities, and groups to participate in. Create lasting friendships by joining any of our clubs and organizations—many of which are lead by students. Clubs cover a wide scope of student interests, from psychology, to outdoor recreation, to community service, just to name a few. Over 90% of students stay on campus on the weekends and our Student Activities Office is always coming up with new and fun ways to spend your time. You can count on having many opportunities to engage in the community—you’ll grow as an individual—but also alongside your fellow students.

Academics: Our faculty is comprised of real-world practitioners and experts in their field, who are passionate about sharing their knowledge with you. Our class sizes are small, students receive the attention they deserve and are able get to know their professors—who are accessible for questions or support. Each student is assigned to an academic advisor who will help you to navigate course registration and keep you on track. Additional support is provided by our dedicated Academic Success department, who offer services like tutoring and accommodations.

Internships: Endicott students gain firsthand professional experience, through the completion of three internships, and develop a resume—even before they graduate. You will be assigned an internship coordinator who will provide guidance and support as you learn how to identify your strengths, market your skills, and prepare for interviews. Their support continues as you progress through your internships as well.

Athletics: Over 80% of our undergraduate students participate in varsity, club, or intramural sports. In addition to our tennis courts, cross country trails, ice hockey arena, ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É and softball fields, football field (which is also the home to lacrosse, soccer, and field hockey), the Post Center houses basketball and volleyball courts, an athletic training room, strength and conditioning training center, and includes a variety of amenities for students—fitness, dance, weight, and aerobic rooms, a racquetball court, a competition gymnasium, and a field house with a suspended running track and a traverse climbing wall.

Oceanfront: Have we mentioned the view yet? Endicott’s campus sits on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and our students enjoy access to three private beaches: Mingo, Endicott, and Patch. Our freshman dorms have views of the water and three of our upperclassmen dorms (and by dorms we actually mean single family homes that have been converted into student living spaces) lie right on the ocean. Additionally, adjacent to Endicott beach, is a lawn, a sand volleyball court, and a beach house—complete with kayaks for students to use.

We welcome you to come and tour our beautiful campus, and furthermore, we hope you will stay for everything else it has to offer—after all—it’s a great day to be a Gull!
