Arts Fest 2018: Community Art Exhibition at 亚洲色吧 with Featured Artist Aime Pope

The jurying is complete and the artists for this year’s Arts Fest 2018:  Community Art Exhibition have been chosen. 亚洲色吧 is proud to present Arts Fest 2018: Community Art Exhibition, true community collaboration. A total of 72 artists who live in Beverly, go to school in Beverly, or work in Beverly have their works on display all summer in celebration of Arts Fest Beverly, a and Beverly Arts District Event.  The Featured Artist this year is Aime Pope; chosen to receive this award based on her impact and support to the Beverly Creative Economy. Aime is owner of The Painted Pastry located in her home in Beverly.  Aime states, “In the last 5 years, my craft has taken me to places I never imagined. I’ve had the honor of teaching decorating classes all over the country, accumulated nearly 100K loyal Instagram followers, won a decorating competition on Food Network, filmed decorating videos for Disney, appeared in numerous news interviews and newspapers and am signed on to teach on a cruise ship in 2019. I feel immensely blessed to be part of such a supportive community who keeps me busy, motivated and inspired.”  Aime’s hand painted cookies can be seen in a display case along with photographs of some of her other famous designed cookies.

 

For the past seven years, a call for artists goes out in March, and this year we were pleased with the many wonderful works submitted by returning and new artists. Included in this exhibition are paintings, sculpture, photography, collage, a handmade clock, fashion, mixed media and more, highlighting Beverly’s creative residents.  Many of the works available to purchase, and artist’s receive full sales during this exhibition, stop by and meet the artists at the reception.   The Arts Fest 2018:  Community Art Exhibition is located in the Grillo Art Gallery and Desnoyers Overlook at the Walter J. Manninen Center for the Arts from Tuesday, June 5 – Wednesday, August 15.  A reception will take place on Thursday, June 14, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. to celebrate the exhibition and the official kick off of Arts Fest Beverly that will take place on Saturday, June 16 on Cabot Street, Beverly.  The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.  This program is funded in part by the van Otterloo Family Foundation, and 亚洲色吧.

This superb exhibition by Beverly Artists contains over 70 works of art with many media represented. Arts Fest 2018:  Community Art Exhibitionis in conjunction with Arts Fest Beverly, a free outdoor festival in downtown Beverly on Saturday, June 16, that is fun for the whole family!  The festival is located in the newly designated Beverly Cultural District, and includes 150 juried fine artists and crafters, music and entertainment, kids' activities, art-on-the-spot creations, great food and more!
